On November 18, the ZEEUS Project held the third workshop of its training cycle, dedicated to the theme “Building for Change: Climate Entrepreneurship for All”, which brought together around 70 participants. This session challenged attendees to transform ideas into real projects, demonstrating how anyone can lead or contribute to sustainable solutions through entrepreneurship and innovation. The workshop featured contributions from Ron Immink, author and specialist in futures and entrepreneurship, and Aideen O’Hora, co-founder of SustainabilityWorks. Soon, all workshops and initiatives will be available on the ZEEUS Collaborative Platform, which provides access to mentors, tools, and educational resources. With the conclusion of this workshop cycle, the ZEEUS Project continues to develop new content and initiatives focused on sustainability.
ZEEUS – Workshop 2 – Design for Impact: Climate Ideation in Action
The second workshop of the ZEEUS Project, titled “Design for Impact: Climate Ideation in Action,” took place on 5 November and brought together around 100 participants. The session offered an excellent opportunity to transform intentions into impactful ideas through creative tools and collaborative methods that encouraged the development of innovative climate solutions and the promotion of systemic change. The event provided a dynamic space for learning and co-creation, helping participants move from climate concern to confident action. Through practical activities and moments of exchange, attendees were able to explore how creative ideation can drive innovation and generate real impact across academic, professional, and personal spheres. Guest speakers included Ron Immink, author and speaker on future trends and entrepreneurship, and Aideen O’Hora, co-founder of SustainabilityWorks, who inspired participants to reflect on the role of creativity in addressing climate challenges. The ZEEUS Project continues on 18 November with its third workshop, “Building for Change: Climate Entrepreneurship for All,” dedicated to transforming ideas into sustainable projects.
ZEEUS – Workshop 1 – From Climate Anxiety to Action
On October 23rd, the first workshop of the ZEEUS Project took place, under the theme From Climate Anxiety to Action, bringing together 200 participants. This workshop represented an excellent opportunity to explore how to shift from feelings of powerlessness in the face of climate change to a sense of personal agency, purpose, and empowerment. The speakers included Ron Immink, Author, Coach, and Speaker on the Future and Entrepreneurship, and Aideen O’Hora, Co-founder of SustainabilityWorks. The second workshop of the ZEEUS Project will take place on November 5th, this time under the theme Design for Impact – Climate Ideation in Action. This workshop will focus on transforming concern about climate change into confident action, through structured creativity and collaboration, enabling participants to develop meaningful solutions.

A Consortium of Global Excellence
The ZEEUS consortium brings together an exceptional group of higher education institutions and industrial partners committed to sustainable innovation. Led by Trinity College Dublin (TCD), the project involves ISEC Lisbon, Stellenbosch University (South Africa), Prague University of Economics and Business (VSE) and Trier University of Applied Sciences (TUAS) in Germany. ZEEUS – Inclusive, Sustainable and Digital
ZEEUS is committed to sustainable transformation that is, above all, inclusive and digital. With a strong commitment to gender equality and diversity, the project implements specific strategies to support women and under-represented groups in the entrepreneurial ecosystem. In addition, the ZEEUS digital platform – developed by Babele – integrates collaboration tools, online training and impact assessment, connecting participants from different countries in real time. The project articulates the EntreComp, GreenComp and DigComp frameworks, promoting cross-cutting skills for the challenges of the green and digital transition. With a replicable and sustainable model, ZEEUS is paving the way for entrepreneurship with a positive environmental and social impact to become a reality in universities around the world.
Seed Factories – Where Innovation Comes to Life
At the heart of ZEEUS are the Seed Factories, pioneering structures designed to transform knowledge into impact. These collaborative spaces promote a practical and interdisciplinary approach to sustainable entrepreneurship, linking education, research and innovation. Through boot camps, hackathons, mentoring and access to funding networks, Seed Factories help bring ideas with transformative potential to life – from digital solutions for smart cities to new circular economy models. Throughout the project, more than 1,000 students and 300 academic and non-academic staff members are expected to be involved, and at least eight start-ups with sustainable business models are expected to be created. ZEEUS is building an international innovation network that will last well beyond the funding phase.
ZEEUS – A New Paradigm for Higher Education
ZEEUS is more than a project – it is a bold vision for the future of higher education. In an era marked by climate urgency and the digital revolution, the project aims to position higher education institutions as drivers of sustainable innovation. Through the creation of Seed Factories at universities in Europe and Africa, ZEEUS promotes green entrepreneurship, intercontinental collaboration and the creation of scalable solutions to global challenges. These “seed factories” offer training, mentoring, funding and methodologies for measuring climate impact. Aligned with the goals of the European Green Deal and the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the project focuses on empowering students, researchers and professionals, fostering the creation of start-ups and innovation networks with a real impact on society and the planet.
